Iceland is by far one of the most beautiful countries in the world and what is the best way to enjoy it if not staying in a stylish comfortable hotel right next to the main most popular attractions in the southern part of Iceland.
Welcome to Landhotel!
It seems that the hotel is standing in the middle of nowhere which is partly true, yet it's still quite close to the main destinations like Gullfoss Falls, Geysers, hot springs, glaciers, Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and much more.
You can easily visit all of these places and manage to come back for a delicious dinner.
Or get up early in the morning, head for a hot spring swim nearby, and return to enjoy a delicious breakfast.
The hot springs was close enough for us to get back right in time for the delicious breakfast. And, in case of hot springs are not enough the hotel provides you with a brand new sauna which is perfect during cold windy Icelandic weather
Landhotel opened in 2019 and has a total of 69 rooms all of which are very spacious and have a fantastic view of the highlands, lowlands, and midlands.
The hotel´s modern Scandinavian architecture and interior are inspired by the surroundings so everywhere in the hotel you are reminded of the diverse Icelandic nature.
The views are spectacular. You can literally see the largest volcanos on the horizon like Katla and Hekla.
And the food is simply incredible. The hotel can provide a large variety of food options for any taste.
So in the end Landhotel is just a perfect city getaway. You can explore the country while staying close to the most popular places and live in comfort.
Or you can relax with a book in one of the reading corners while enjoying an amazing view over vast fields of Iceland with mountains and volcanos on the horizon.
Also, it's a perfect place to watch Northen lights between October and April. The location is just perfect. Far away from city lights you just won't be able to find a better place. If you were looking for a perfect place to stay while exploring the beauty of Iceland look no further. Landhotel will take care of everything.
Over the last few years, we've visited over 30 different ski resorts all over Europe and we rarely return to the same ones. With St. Anton, it's different this time. We're definitely coming back to catch this magical spirit that's too hard to explain. You just have to experience it for yourself.
