The ambiance of the ancient medieval castle transports you to an entirely different world upon arrival.
About the Hotel
Clontarf Castle, which dates back to the 12th century, is the sole castle hotel in Dublin and is frequently visited by celebrities, including Bono from U2.
Undoubtedly, the most remarkable aspect of the hotel is its interior. Upon arrival, guests pass through grand gates and drive through a beautifully landscaped garden leading to the castle. The tower is visible from a distance, and life-sized armored guards greet you at the entrance.
The luxury hotel was constructed around the castle and boasts a remarkable historic exterior complemented by a warm Irish welcome and opulent interior design. All 111 rooms and exclusive suites are situated in the newest section of the building, which encircles the castle tower.
"This hotel is a must-visit for both adults and children. While parents can appreciate the exquisite decor and interior design, it's akin to an amusement park for younger guests, replete with numerous hiding spots and rooms to explore."
What else is there to do?
Take time to stroll around the castle and its lush gardens. The hotel is close to Bull Island Bird Sanctuary, St. Anne’s Park, and Croke Park Stadium. We enjoyed a 40-minute walk to the heart of Dublin, with its wonderful pubs, parks, and shopping.
How to get there?
The hotel is located a mere 10-minute drive from Dublin city centre. Public transport or a taxi can easily take you there. There's a spacious car park by the entrance, making renting a car a viable option.
