Why should you come here?

Have you ever dreamed of residing in a castle? This is your opportunity to turn that dream into reality. Experience the unique blend of a medieval castle and a luxury hotel, offering all the superb services and comforts you anticipate.

About the Hotel

Clontarf Castle, which dates back to the 12th century, is the sole castle hotel in Dublin and is frequently visited by celebrities, including Bono from U2.

Undoubtedly, the most remarkable aspect of the hotel is its interior. Upon arrival, guests pass through grand gates and drive through a beautifully landscaped garden leading to the castle. The tower is visible from a distance, and life-sized armored guards greet you at the entrance.

The luxury hotel was constructed around the castle and boasts a remarkable historic exterior complemented by a warm Irish welcome and opulent interior design. All 111 rooms and exclusive suites are situated in the newest section of the building, which encircles the castle tower.

"This hotel is a must-visit for both adults and children. While parents can appreciate the exquisite decor and interior design, it's akin to an amusement park for younger guests, replete with numerous hiding spots and rooms to explore."

How to make the most of your stay?

Discover the hotel's intricate design and details. We've visited numerous hotels worldwide, but none compare to this experience.

Consider booking at the new Fahrenheit restaurant, Indigo Lounge, or Knights Bar. Our preferred spot for a drink was the Knights Bar, which seamlessly blends the traditions of an ancient castle with 21st-century service. For those with a palate for fine Irish cuisine, we recommend the Fahrenheit Restaurant, one of Dublin’s premier grill establishments.

Experience dining in the tower. While overnight stays or breakfasts aren't available in the tower, you can reserve it for dinner. Imagine enjoying a meal in a 12th-century tower—how extraordinary is that?

What else is there to do?

Take time to stroll around the castle and its lush gardens. The hotel is close to Bull Island Bird Sanctuary, St. Anne’s Park, and Croke Park Stadium. Though not in central Dublin, the city centre is just a quick 10-minute taxi or public transport ride away. We enjoyed a 40-minute walk to the heart of Dublin, with its wonderful pubs, parks, and shopping.

How to get there?

The hotel is located a mere 10-minute drive from Dublin city centre. Public transport or a taxi can easily take you there. There's a spacious car park by the entrance, making renting a car a viable option.
