Make sure to spend at least a few hours in Malta’s capital city. It's a beautiful medieval town with narrow streets that are full of cute shops, restaurants, and cathedrals. It’s also worth visiting the main park and stopping to have a delicious ice-cream.

It’s water is decorated with hundreds of small colorful boats which look absolutely incredible.

Fort Manoel on the Manoel Island

A very remote, small island right across the water from Valletta. If you're looking for a place with no tourists yet still want to stay near the city center, then this place is for you. This little island is very empty and has absolutely no tourist conveniences like shops, bars, or entertainment. The main reason you come here is for the amazing view of Valletta from across the bay.
Easter Egg

A small tip for visitors! If you have a chance to visit the island on May 1st – try do so. It's a national public holiday, Labor Day, and there will be lots of tourists and different live concerts, performances and fireworks that will create an amazing celebratory spirit on the island. Trust us, it is worth checking out!
Conclusion

Malta is not a tropical island, it's a dry piece of land near Africa yet it's so full of different places, activities and entertainment. It has been an independent country since 1956 but you can still feel the British spirit in it. We've described only the main island but there are also small islands nearby like Gozo, Comino and even Sicily which is only half an hours flight from Malta.
