Creta Star: a Place with the Music of Waves

It is really true – the sound of waves is constant at this beachfront property, located right on Skaleta beach, 12 km east of Rethymnon in western Crete.

What is great here – almost all of the rooms have terraces facing the sea. And we loved the big, lush green park with lots of flowers, where it felt great to hide from the sun in the shade of the palm trees.

This is an ALL-inclusive hotel with 3 bars and 3 restaurants, which means non-stop treats during your vacation. The best meals are the dinners with lots of local fruit, Greek specialities and an international menu.

The hotel is perfect for family getaways as it has a good entertainment club for kids (face painting is in high demand here) and finishes the kids’ programme every day with a mini disco.

Posing near palms

The hotel offers some activities for adults as well. Yoga is one of them but I preferred to wake up earlier and do my work-out on my own.

The long sandy beach is perfect for sunset strolls and lazy beach days.

The location of the hotel is ideal for those who want to explore the island by car (which is highly recommended). 65 km to the east lies the capital, Heraklion, and 70 km to the west, the most charming city on the island, Chania. Another amazing Venetian-style city, Rethimnon, lies just 12 km away. We suggest walking here in the evening, and then watching the sun set over the mountains from the St. Irini monastery. Beautiful Lake Kourna on the way to Chania is an incredible place to spend some time. Here you can have fresh trout in a nearby tavern in Agioupoli village or return to Creta Star and have dinner there.

I fell in love with traveling much earlier than I fell in love with my first man. And I'm still faithful to that love (But I have exchanged some men since my first one). I have never had a reason to regret my passion. I constantly dream of going further, it gives me indescribable emotions and meaning to my life.
