Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & SPA Resort: A New Vision of Holidays
Last winter, we were lucky enough to enjoy a brand-new, beachfront, all-suite hotel by the Caribbean Sea. The massive grand opening took place at the end of November, 2016, and now this 5-star resort is ready to invite you to relax.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & SPA is a resort for stylish holidays and a dream for fine cuisine and gourmet dining lovers. With contemporary décor and modern amenities, the hotel has been designed for adults and families alike.

Couples and honeymooners are also very welcome to this chic and sleek paradise; special packages and wedding programmes are available. Kids in the hotel will never disturb your special moments; they spend all day (and sometimes even nights) in the clubs, so you never feel like the hotel is overrun with children.

Meanwhile, parents can enjoy the elegant, adults only, French cuisine at L’Etoile restaurant, complimentary greens on the world-famous golf course designed by golf legend, Greg Norman, or guests can visit the sister-hotel, Secrets Playa Mujeres, located just next door. As part of the Sip, Savor and See programme, adult guests have the opportunity to indulge in complimentary cuisine at the restaurants and to see the resort’s nightly entertainment at the adults only Secrets Playa Mujeres.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & SPA Resort also offers nightly entertainment – both for adults and children. The programme includes theme nights, beach parties, live musical performances and our favourite – the Fire Show.

In our opinion, one of the best things about this gorgeous hotel is the swimming pools. There are three levels of swimming pools spanning over 6,000 square metres (!), including two ocean view infinity pools, four Jacuzzis, two children’s pools, a water park and a lazy river.

All of the swimming pools are heated so you never get cold, even during the rare windy days.

If you are a beach-lover, this is the place for you. You won’t find lush jungles and gardens all around, but the hotel is proud of its long and secluded white sand beach.

Lovely cabanas are designed for extra comfort and privacy.

There are some more great extras: a water park, a huge kids’ zone and a private dolphinarium, which will open this summer. The dolphinarium is constructed in the sea, so the 12 wild creatures will feel at home. Guests can enjoy swimming with dolphins and dolphin shows in their natural habitat.

Each of the 502 spacious suites has a balcony or terrace with either a Jacuzzi or a private pool and many of the rooms have stunning views of the ocean. Preferred Club guests enjoy extra amenities including a personalised check-in, à la carte breakfast, access to the lazy river, exclusive loungers and bars and much more.

But all the suites come with luxurious touches like a Nespresso coffee-machine, i-Pad docking station and personal i-Pad for fast and very convenient room-service orders. Plus, other great bonuses like a pillow menu and turndown service.

Among the ten dining options, including seven à la carte restaurants, our favourite is The Gaucho Brazilian Steak House, which offers a dining experience like no other. You won’t find a traditional menu here: freshly prepared succulent meats are finely carved by the waiters at your table and served with a variety of gourmet salads from the buffet.

The hotel is located in a secluded area just half an hour from Cancun airport, opposite the amazing Isla Mujeres Island and the finest Playa Norte beach. You can find boats to the island not far from the hotel at the Punta Sam ferry terminal.

Our transfer to the airport was really fast and smooth thanks to a private transfer provided by Amstar.
