Park Hyatt Zurich: Sophisticated Luxury in the Heart of Zurich
The ultra-modern Park Hyatt hotel, right by the Zurich lake and a short stroll from the centre of Zurich, impressed us with its sheer size. With its spacious halls and modern interior, it feels like you’ve entered the parliament building, yet it still manages to be really cosy and stylish.
The hotel has all the perks for highly valued guests. For example, our car was parked by a valet in the underground car park within seconds of our arrival.
We liked the reception area with a bamboo garden, a dark granite floor, and soft leather panelling.
The modern interior in combination with artistic design elements really wowed us.
So we spent the first 20 minutes admiring and exploring the lobby.
The hotel's minimalist rooms are carefully decorated and designed in warm hues.
One of the best welcome gifts we've ever received. Huge plate with custom made chocolate snacks including our brand Triptemptation. Such a pleasant surprise.
They have Italian furniture, deep soaking tubs, and Blaise Mautin toiletries.
The bathroom is beyong any expectation.
Our spacious suite even had a little office and was packed with the latest technology, like a TV built into the bathroom mirrors.
The bathroom walls open to link it with the bedroom, transforming a regular room into a romantic haven for couples.
In addition, new artworks have been incorporated into the suites. Four pictures by the French artist Tatjana Labossiere are exhibited in suites above the comfortable sofa. The German photographer Manuela Höfer is also exhibiting three artworks in suites above the sofas. Höfer, who studied in Prague, has already had numerous individual exhibitions in different countries across Europe. The Swiss artist Betty Kuhn is exhibiting the wall picture ‘Flechten’. This exclusive painting is a work of acrylic on canvas, which is inspired by the form, structure and surface of a stone plate connected to nature in the Ticino region.

For dinner, we chose the Parkhuus restaurant with its floor-to-ceiling windows, open kitchen concept and seasonal ingredients on a pan-European style menu.
The wine library is two storeys high with more than 3,000 bottles. It will certainly add a special something to your gourmet journey.
Other activities include the Club Olympus Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and the very special Hyatt Concierge service, which organises activities, tours and dining arrangements.
The hotel is also a very popular place for holding conferences and weddings. In fact, there was a wedding celebration there at the time we were visiting.
The location couldn't be better. Just a few hundred meteres awat from the scenic beauty of Lake Zurich, the old town and the fashionable boutiques on Bahnhofstraße. So much things to see and do when staying at the Park Hyatt hotel - truly one of the best hotels in Zurich.
