Conrad London St. James: 50 Shades of Afternoon Tea
As curious tea-tasters, each time we're in London we can’t miss the opportunity to try a new afternoon tea ceremony. So, this time, we chose the Autumn Bramble Afternoon Tea prepared by Zoe Wager, London’s Top Executive Pastry Chef, who ensures that every afternoon tea the hotel creates is full of fun and great tastes. Creating desserts is her passion and she is famous for creating 34,000 desserts for the London Olympics, 2012.
The Afternoon Tea at Conrad London St. James changes to a new innovative theme every season, so we were lucky to enjoy the delicious range of Autumn Bramble Afternoon Tea set in dark tones.
The choice of mouth-watering savoury and sweet treats was fantastic. Chocolate pine nuts and pebbles, apple & blackberry tart, blackcurrant and liquorice macaroons, pumpkin cheesecake, a tonka bean white chocolate mousse cake – we enjoyed them all, accompanied by the sophisticated green and white tea we chose from the impressive tea menu.
We adored the atmosphere of the afternoon tea lounge with love seats and mood lighting, the perfect spot to enjoy one of the oldest English traditions.
This winter, the TripTemptation team were lucky enough to be invited to explore, and enjoy, the Bardonecchia Ski Resort; a cozy, and small, Italian town, located in the province of Turin in the western part of the Italian Alps. Its history began at the start of the 20th century, and since then it has become one of the most popular ski resorts in the whole Alpine region.
We love London, and we just couldn’t miss one of its newest and most unique places - the Sky Garden, located in the recently opened skyscraper at 20 Fenchurch Street in the very heart of London's business district.
This satay and grill restaurant is the third venture for Singapore's culinary ambassador Violet Oon, her daughter Tay Su-Lyn and son Tay Yi-Ming. It offers excellent local cooking in beautiful setting at Clarke Quay.
The Queen of the Dolomites, Cortina D'Ampezzo, wins your heart with its timeless landscape. A UNESCO World Natural Heritage Area, it’s a paradise for hikers and climbers. It has a wealth of hiking trails, classic and sport climbing possibilities, and some of the most beautiful Via Ferrata routes in the Dolomites. It’s also a paradise for skiers, and snowboarders, in winter. We found a hotel there to make your stay comfortable; and right in the center of busy and beautiful pedestrian streets. Bellevue Suites & SPA Hotel was founded in 1894. It was conceived with the idea of welcoming sophisticated guests and lovers of mountains.
During our last visit to London, we were invited to a very special and traditional afternoon tea. The event took place in one of the best districts in London – the award-winning English Tea Room in Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair. This setting is, without any doubt, the perfect place to feel the real London spirit and energy.
I fell in love with traveling much earlier than I fell in love with my first man. And I'm still faithful to that love (But I have exchanged some men since my first one). I have never had a reason to regret my passion. I constantly dream of going further, it gives me indescribable emotions and meaning to my life.
