Cinnamon Bey Beruwala Hotel: the Best Place for Food and Sun on Sri Lanka

Cinnamon Bey Beruwala Hotel faces the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, and with its beautifully maintained, huge tropical gardens, it really stands out. While there are mainly boutique hotels and villas on Sri Lanka, this hotel offers 200 stunning rooms and suites featuring subtle Turkish influences, and six restaurants with mouthwatering menus, innovative open kitchens, delicious cuisine and cutting edge design. The great food is just one reason to stay at this contemporary resort.

We loved the main restaurant's buffet breakfasts and dinners, where you can find cuisine from many countries, from Indonesia to India. The healthy breakfast corner is a great way to start your day!

But the most interesting was Rock Salt restaurant - the first in Sri Lanka to provide the concept of hot lava rock cuisine, giving you the chance to be your own chef and cook on your own plate using a variety of marinades, spices, oils and other ingredients including meat, seafood and greens.

Amazing view from hotel balcony

Another thing which is great here is the gorgeous infinity pool, where you can enjoy the sea view and great sunsets. If you are tired from the beach and pool, escape to the Azmaara Spa or enjoy the cream emporium, I.C.E., where you can make your favourite flavour of ice-cream.The hotel offers a great variety of excursions and sports, too. Cinnamon Bey Beruwala is close to a local gem market and a traditional mask museum. The Galle Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is also not too far away, and exploring this old town and having dinner there is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

For surfers, head to nearby Hikkaduwe beach for the perfect day on a board, as it is one of the best beaches for surfers on Sri Lanka.

And the cute turtles are great fun if you are travelling with kids. So, for a bit of natural wonder, head to the nearby turtle hatchery.

I fell in love with traveling much earlier than I fell in love with my first man. And I'm still faithful to that love (But I have exchanged some men since my first one). I have never had a reason to regret my passion. I constantly dream of going further, it gives me indescribable emotions and meaning to my life.
