Hotel Bellevue Suites & SPA: For your Active Holiday in the Dolomites
The Queen of the Dolomites, Cortina D'Ampezzo, wins your heart with its timeless landscape. A UNESCO World Natural Heritage Area, it’s a paradise for hikers and climbers. It has a wealth of hiking trails, classic and sport climbing possibilities, and some of the most beautiful Via Ferrata routes in the Dolomites. It’s also a paradise for skiers, and snowboarders, in winter. We found a hotel there to make your stay comfortable; and right in the center of busy and beautiful pedestrian streets. Bellevue Suites & SPA Hotel was founded in 1894. It was conceived with the idea of welcoming sophisticated guests and lovers of mountains.

It is very conveniently located right at the start of the pedestrian streets of Cortina. This means all the useful infrastructure is just a few steps away. And the best thing of all: the lift to the biggest ski area, Faloria, is only 100 m away from your door.

The breakfast is very diverse and will satisfy your every need in terms of energy for one’s daily ups and downs in the mountains.

After your busy day in the mountains you can relax at the recently renovated SPA of the Bellevue hotel. It is aesthetically beautiful and feels very relaxing and comfortable. The SPA doesn't have a pool, but you can spend hours in their showers: and you won't find any simple ones here! All of them have their own aroma; eucalyptus is by far my favourite one.

If you'd rather have a more personal touch to your relaxation, then you'll definitely enjoy some of the SPA’s special treatments on the watertable.

In the hotel’s restaurant you can enjoy exceptional cuisine; made by the Italian chef Gianfranco Vissani. And not only your taste-buds will be pleased with delicious food, but also your ears; they will be delighted with live music and the vocals of talented singers.

Resting in my room (warm and cozy with parquet flooring and wooden furniture) I was thinking of the rich history of this special place. And I think I realised why Ernest Hemingway decided to write his autobiography “Out of Season” here back in 1923.
