Choosing a hotel in Singapore was simple. We had absolutely no doubt about where to stay…. as Marina Bay Sands had been at the forefront of our minds from the very first moment we planned our trip to this Asian city. The hotel is all about ‘ultimate luxury’…. and it offers more than just great accommodation; it has shopping, dining, shows, casinos…. but the best thing about it is its amazing view from the most iconic Infinity Pool in the world.
Here I am at the world's largest rooftop pool. It stretches 150 metres across Sands SkyPark, offering the best city-skyline view. Here you can swim on, what feels like, the top of the world. And soak up the jaw-dropping views of Marina Bay.
This stunning outdoor Infinity Pool (designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie) is the world's largest at this height…. and offers the best skyline view of Singapore. The water in it was a bit on the cold side for me. So after talking lots of pictures I was making myself warm in a private hot Jacuzzi overlooking the Gardens by the Bay.
The views from the Hotel are just breathtaking
We never wanted to leave this place. We felt very lucky to be here. And what made it even more special was that the Infinity Pool (and all the pleasures it offers) was for ‘Hotel Guests Only’.
I was swimming here trying to imagine the weight of 1.5 million litres of water…… supported by just three Marina Bay Sands Hotel towers. These three towers, on which the pool is perched, are nearly 200 meters high. This is what man can achieve when he wants to make his life more luxurious and fun.
The view across to Singapore Gardens, through the floor-to-ceiling windows in our room, was breathtaking too. We stayed in a deluxe room….. one of the 2500 rooms and suites in the hotel.
The stay at the Hotel with my husband was all about indulging ourselves. With outstanding massages at the Banyan Tree spa, dining against an unforgettable panoramic view (on level 57) at Sky (with its celebrity Chef Justin Quek's delicious cuisine) and, of course, enjoying the most amazing views of Singapore.
The end of the road. This is how easy it is to find The Cape Panwa Hotel. It's located on the furthest, most southeast point of the island in one of the most tranquil areas in Phuket. Nestled among the coconut groves and tropical gardens the hotel offers complete relaxation for its guests. It has two unique things: a 300m long private beach (that is very rare for hotels in Thailand); and it’s the only hotel I’ve ever known which has its own … tram!
Santorini. The most picturesque and romantic island in the world. It has such a special atmosphere that you just forget about everything and are afraid to put down your camera for fear of missing a good shot. With multi-coloured cliffs soaring above a sea-drenched caldera and cute white Cycladic houses, Santorini looks like a giant slice of layered cake.
Located on the sun-drenched northern coast of Mauritius, Le Mauricia, a luxury beachcomber hotel, is cosmopolitan and relaxed, simple yet cosy. The hotel would suit practically everyone's needs - whether you’re a family with children, a happy couple on honeymoon or a group of friends in search of adventure, Le Mauricia resort will be perfect for you.
An on-site cinema with a Dolby 3D screen and red-leather seating and casino, an inviting Cigar Club, a mouth-watering restaurant, and large beds in newly refurbished rooms make this hotel stand out among hundreds of luxury hotels in London. Just a few steps from Green Park and Berkeley Square, this contemporary hotel with a glamorous past boasts a great location combined with first class service.
Built in colonial style in Weligama, on the southern tip of Sri Lanka, Eraeliya Villas and Gardens are all about great design and absolute privacy. Four beautiful villas, surrounded by secluded tropical gardens with iguanas and monkeys, and located just a few steps from the Indian Ocean create the illusion that you are lost in time. Fitted with antique furniture and accessories, and an old grand piano in the lobby, you feel the past of this beautiful country. This is an ideal place for creative people looking for inspiration and for everyone looking for peace and relaxation.
