New York: The Top Luxury Hotels in Manhattan
New York is one of my favourite cities. It has an energy that no other city has. Christmas is a great time to visit this great metropolis; even if it's just to buy Christmas presents, to walk along Fifth Avenue and Soho or even to ice skate in front of the Rockefeller Centre, near the famous Christmas tree.

This time of year you need to stay in a hotel located between Fifth Avenue and Central Park in order to feel that festive atmosphere to the maximum; with Christmas trees, lights, garlands and beautifully decorated shop windows. This is my choice of the most luxurious places in Manhattan in which to bathe in luxury, and enjoy the Christmas mood of this unique city.
The Peninsula

The hotel is located on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 55th Street. It charms one with its stylish rooms, luxury marble bathrooms with bath accessories from Oscar de la Renta, cozy beds with duvets and linen from Fretta. Attention to detail and its world-renowned service come hand in hand here.
The French biological skincare line, Biologique Recherche, combines European techniques with Asian philosophy, offering a personalised approach. Treatment rooms, an eucalyptus steam room, a sauna and a swimming pool; all take an area of three floors. In warm seasons you can rest on the roof's sun terrace. This is an ideal place for families with children. A welcome addition to staying in the Deluxe Suites is a free delivery service of a Mini Cooper for 3 hours a day.

Mandarin Oriental

Asian interiors, impeccable hotel services, and the best city view from the lobby on the 35th floor of the Time Warner Center (where Mandarin Oriental is situated): all these things combine to attract the most sophisticated of travellers.
Located near Central Park, the hotel offers stylish rooms with large floor-to-ceiling windows that provide panoramic views of the park, Manhattan with its skyscrapers and the Hudson River. An incredible spa (with a wide range of rejuvenating treatments) and a huge swimming pool with a panoramic view... a nice addition to one's leisure time activities.

Four Seasons

The light, pastel tones of the Four Seasons' interior help one enjoy your holiday in the 'city that never sleeps'.
The hotel is located between Madison Avenue and Central Park. Some rooms have terraces overlooking Central Park and Manhattan. The spa salon, with its steam room and sauna, is perfect after a day walking around the city. There's also a gym with a personal trainer.
The Four Seasons is a paradise for children and pets.

The St.Regis

You feel the rich history of the St.Regis as soon you enter the lobby. The classic elegance of the interior of the hotel (located near Fifth Avenue in Manhattan) impresses you with its crystal chandeliers, gilded ceilings and marble stairs. A butler service is available for all the guests here.
The King Cole Bar is a 'must visit' place. It was recognised as the best bar in 2014; this is the very place where, in 1934, the Bloody Mary cocktail was invented.

The Plaza

This hotel has been welcoming guests for more than 100 years. This is a New York 'classic'.... situated in an iconic place...Fifth Avenue with a view onto Central Park. It is famous due, mainly, to the many movies in which it was featured. After reconstruction in 2008, the Plaza added all the latest technologies to its charm and allure. Elegant hotel rooms with luxurious furnishings. Bathrooms with golden faucets and mosaic floor only serve to highlight the greatness of this place.
You should visit the Champagne Bar. It offers a wide selection of champagnes, and caviar. And you should also visit the Palm Court where afternoon tea is served. Make sure to visit the Caudalie Vinothérapie Spa, the only Spa in the United States to make use of wines. And the swimming pool.

The Ritz-Carlton

The rich design of the hotel, made in a classic style, reminds one of interiors of an older time; with gilding and wood paneling The Ritz-Carlton is located between the Fifth and Sixth Avenues.... on the edge of Central Park. Most of the rooms overlook the park and there are telescopes in these rooms so that the guests can watch the birds.
Le Prairie Spa at the Ritz-Carlton is an 'oasis' of peace, where one can relax, relieve stress and indulge in a spa treatment. At noon you can feed the horses waiting at the entrance, and then you can have a ride in a carriage along the alleyways of Central Park itself.

The Pierre, a Taj Hotel

A classic atmosphere and grandeur, soft interior colours and silk fabrics create an ambience of luxury and comfort. The hotel is situated on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Central Park.
All the latest technology, large bathrooms, bath accessories from Molton Brown, culinary delights from the famous Sirio Maccioni restaurateur; all these things welcome you.

Park Hyatt

The Hotel, opened in August 2014 in a new beautiful 90-storey building, is two blocks away from Central Park. The Park Hyatt occupies 25 floors and boasts some of the most largest bedrooms in New York City.
Modern design, artworks, gorgeous cuisine and all the latest, up-to-the-minute technology (as well as a 20m swimming pool) and a spa centre; everything attracts a demanding clientele.
