The Sheraton Gran Canaria promises a truly transformative holiday experience in the heart of the southern Canarian countryside. Its picturesque location beside two 18-hole golf courses provides stunning views of the mountains and the sea. In our opinion, it’s one of the most unique, modern and stylish hotels on the island.
What amazed us most
The hotel stands on a cliff with parts of it built into the cliff, over eight levels. The hotel has several swimming pools on the different levels which seem to float above the landscape. The beautiful terrace and park on top of the hotel with its many sunbeds and a heated infinity pool gives amazing views of the islands, rocks, cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean on the horizon. It’s the perfect place to watch the sun set with a cocktail.
Why should you come here?
If you want to enjoy a peaceful holiday away from the tourist throngs in other parts of Gran Canaria, the Sheraton Golf Resort is just what you’re looking for. The hotel is far away from the noise and lights of the city which gives you the chance to see thousands of stars at night. The 313 rooms are spacious and modern with comfortable chaise-longues on the private terraces. Even though the hotel was full when we were there, we still felt like we had plenty of space.

Definitely the style of the hotel – it’s one of the most modern hotels we’ve ever seen.

the most of your stay
The hotel has everything you might need – a spa, several restaurants offering a varied range of delicious cuisine and a fitness centre that offers views of the world-famous Maspalomas sand dunes. The Aloe Spa with its spectacular open-air pool guarantees a complete wellness experience and uses natural products in its treatments, including aloe that has been grown on the island.
What else
is there to see and do?
There’s not a lot around the hotel – it stands alone on a cliff. However, it takes up a huge territory with its private villas and golf courses and provides a range of services and activities that ensure you will never be bored. If you want to see the rest of the island though, you’ll need to rent a car.

The best way to get to the hotel is by car or shuttle bus. The nearest big town is Maspalomas.
