The Iberostar Grand Hotel El Mirador
A “1001 Night” fairy tale in elegant Tenerife

What amazed us most?
The silence, intimacy and romance at this ‘adults only’ and ‘suite only’ hotel. Even when fully booked, you don’t get the noise and crowds, and nobody disturbs you during your stay. One more amazing thing about the hotel – the gym with an ocean view. Evening jogging with the last of the sun's rays was perfection.
Why should you come here?
To enjoy the best beach on the island, the best possible service, exclusive extras, surprises, and spellbinding views. The hotel is an idyllic place for honeymooners and couples looking for solitude, privacy and relaxation.

THE MOST
special thing about the hotel
I fell in love with Tenerife twice. The first time was when I discovered the amazing nature that abounds on this Canary Island; the second was after I stayed at the gorgeous Iberostar Grand Hotel El Mirador in the upmarket Costa Adeje area.
The hotel was built in traditional, Canary Islands colonial style, but I loved the special Arabian touches: gorgeous arches, marbled columns, and terracotta-tiled walkways and courtyards. I felt like I was in a “One Thousand and One Night” fairy tale in the evenings, sitting with a glass of wine at the bar by the swimming pool, enjoying the dancing flames of the candles and marocain-style lanterns.
This is a place where you can feel completely free and comfortable, and won't ever want to leave. It turned out that the other hotel guests felt the same. We met a couple from Germany in their 60s that have been coming here twice a year for the last five years. They told us, “Why look for something else when this hotel is the best on the island?” And they are absolutely right.
The highly qualified staff provide such attentive and tailored service that sometimes you think they might be reading your mind. Everything we could possible need was in our room, not to mention the delicious cake and champagne they provided on my birthday. It felt a bit like staying at a friend's luxurious beach residence.
All 120 rooms here are suites, with large terraces or balconies mostly overlooking the sea. They all have gorgeous, spacious bathrooms with marble floors, baths and walk-in showers, decorated in an Arabian and marocain theme.

The stylish Iberostar Grand Hotel El Mirador is set on a hill, providing amazing vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and La Gomera Island, and has direct access to the best beach on the island – Playa del Duque. The ocean here is calm and warm because it’s sheltered on both sides by huge cliffs. The sand is golden and the water is crystal clear. Not many hotels on the island boast such an amazing location.

HOW TO MAKE
the most of your stay
*The best way to enjoy all of the luxury facilities is to book a suite in the special VIP zone - La Balconada - with its private swimming pool, butler service, gourmet breakfasts, pillow menu and many other treats. There are only 11 such rooms in the hotel so do be sure to book well in advance.
*For the best views and a truly exceptional experience, we recommend staying in the Royal Suite or Presidential Suite. They are located on the top floor of the hotel and feature a huge private terrace and an outdoor Jacuzzi.
WHAT ELSE
to see and do
*The hotel has its own small shopping centre with boutiques and gourmet restaurants.
* One can find the famous Plaza Del Duque shopping mall with its designer outlets and high-end restaurants within walking distance.
*Puerto Colon Marina, which offers sailing excursions, is just 10 minutes away.
*Within easy reach of the hotel, one can find six magnificent golf courses. Transfers to all of them are provided by the hotel.
*You can’t leave Tenerife without visiting its main tourist attraction – El Teide Volcano - the highest point in Spain at 3718m.
