SPECIAL THING ABOUT THE HOTEL
After a long day of exploring the island, we arrived at the Marbella Nido Suite Hotel and Villas. I parked the car right out front of the entrance and handed the keys to the valet. From that very first interaction, I knew I didn’t have to worry about anything anymore. But, little did I know that my expectations would be exceeded at that moment.
On arrival, we were seated in a shady arbor next to the main entrance. We enjoyed refreshing welcoming drinks while our registration paperwork was done and our luggage was taken to our room. Once everything was ready, we were escorted by the Club Cart up to our suite at the top of the hill. The road leading up the hill winded around suites and villas that were painted in classic Corfiot colors of warm ochre and terracotta, giving an illusion of a traditional Greek village. The hotel was tucked away into the lush greenery of the surrounding hills. Every room had a fantastic view across the sea and the rugged landscape of the Greek mainland in the distance.
Our room was spacious and modern. The best thing about it was not actually the design of it, but the private jacuzzi on the terrace. It was the best experience having a bubble bath while taking in the fantastic view. Even a little autumn rain couldn’t have spoiled it! A warm jacuzzi during chilly evenings is something that really adds value to your stay.

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR STAY
Enjoy excellent food at San Giovanni restaurant. This restaurant serves an extensive buffet style breakfast and dinner. At breakfast, you will find nearly everything your heart desires. If you are an early bird, you can enjoy breakfast with the most spectacular view of the sunrise over the sea.
At dinner, we had an even more mind-blowing selection of dishes, mainly Greek style. We could choose from a variety of delicious salads, vegetable stews, meat, fish, seafood, cheese and of course scrumptious desserts. It was a real culinary pleasure.
Relax and enjoy the water. There are several options for everyone’s needs. Just across the road, there is a fully equipped beach with changing rooms, sun-beds, umbrellas and hammocks. I personally preferred taking a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea in the mornings just before breakfast. It was just a perfect way to wake up and energize yourself for the whole day.
The area surrounding the infinity pool becomes alive right after breakfast. Don’t worry, there will still be plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Besides the usual sunbeds, you will find very cozy, nest-like pods and additional sunbeds right inside the pool.
The private in-room jacuzzi or pool is a wonderful option for romantic evenings. For your pleasure, there’s also a small spa with a sauna and steam room and massage treatments are available in the hotel. I purchased some of their Cinque Monde cosmetics, which is great souvenir to remember our magnificent time at Marbella Nido Suite Hotel and Villas.

TO DO AND SEE
Corfu is a beautiful island, it would be a shame not to explore it. Rent a car or book a tour and see the rest of the island.
