Le Méridien Fisherman's Cove
The First Hotel in the Seychelles

What amazed us most?
The history of the hotel - it was there long before we were born. The smiling Seychellois hospitality and the view of one of the most beautiful beaches on Mahe Island from our huge terrace.
Why should you come here?
To have the perfect getaway from the outside world and to experience a stay at a hotel dating back to 1943. Also to try Creole cuisine at one of the most popular restaurants on the island, Le Bourgeois Restaurant. The emotions while having an à la carte seafood dinner overlooking the ocean are out of this world.

THE MOST
SPECIAL THINGS ABOUT THE HOTEL
The hotel is located on the Western tip of the Seychelles in the bay of the famous and picturesque Beau-Vallon Beach, and is perfectly integrated into the landscape of the island. We instantly felt the tranquility of this place and fell in love with the endless lush gardens, colourful flowers and leafy paths.
We were lucky to get a great suite with an ocean view, huge balcony and a bath in our bedroom (the bathrooms here are not separate from the bedrooms). Amazing doesn't even begin to describe it. By the end of the day, you just open a bottle of wine and relax in a hot bath while enjoying the night sky through the terrace windows.
The hotel represents the origins of Seychelles hospitality, with a strong heritage dating back to 1943. An authentic property which reflects a unique cultural discovery, located in lush vegetation at the tip of the famous Beau-Vallon beach, Le Méridien Fisherman's Cove offers a choice of exceptionally stylish rooms and suites, while still retaining many of the original features.
Even though the hotel is located on the rocks and cliffs, you can walk around the beautiful gardens and even play tennis which is something unique to this part of the island.
We spent most of our stay here enjoying ourselves on the beach. The 3km pristine beach feels almost private because of its hidden location.

HOW TO MAKE
THE MOST OF YOUR STAY?

WHAT ELSE
IS THERE TO SEE AND DO?
Go for a little walk or hike. The nature trails in the mountains are very well laid out. Although some tracks may be steep at the beginning, arriving at the summit makes it worthwhile! The views are stunning, as is the experience of walking in a virgin cloud forest surrounded by unique flora and fauna which can be seen nowhere else on earth.
The Indian Ocean is right on your door step and it would be a shame to miss out on kayaking and snorkelling.
Catch a glimpse of the rich marine life that surrounds the Archipelago year round. In fact, the island chain offers some of the best snorkelling spots in the world. Here you will have the opportunity to swim with an array of fish including the rainbow-coloured Parrotfish, angelfish, lion-fish, sea turtles, rays and various corals.
HOW
TO GET THERE?
The hotel is quite isolated and the best way to get there is to take a taxi. A transfer can be organised upon making your booking or after disembarking at the International Airport.
