What amazed us most?

The rich interior design and décor in the French style of Napoleon III, where each and every piece of furniture and accessory is an authentic antique exhibit with its own history, purchased from the world's leading auction houses.

Why should you come here?

To step back in time and feel like a true 19th century aristocrat, to experience opulence and comfort, to have a rest in a peaceful oasis of true sophistication and luxury, and to explore Europe's hidden gem, Riga.

special thing about the hotel

We loved the special atmosphere of this boutique hotel, and the way it opened up its rich history for us, starting from the outside of the building. The façade of the Gallery Park Hotel says it all – it is a genuine Neo-Classical style building, with balconies on three sides, in a perfect location in the Quiet City Centre away from the buzz of city life.

The hotel was established in 2009 after a grand restoration, but the building itself dates back to 1875. Although everything inside is authentic – carefully restored, solid antique wood furniture, carpets, bronze statues, cheval-glass, a piano, unique wooden wall and ceiling panelling – it is spiced up with antique lighting fixtures and the latest hi-tech accessories.

HOW TO MAKE

the most of your stay

  1. Book a room with a balcony or terrace to enjoy the wonderful spirit of Riga.Take a walk through the hotel; you will find a lot of interesting décor elements such as a huge painting at the top of the staircase. It was custom-made by a local artist. Don’t hesitate to ask questions about the décor. Every element has a story just waiting to be told.
  2. Immerse yourself in the surprising world of Latvian and French cuisine at the award-winning gourmet restaurant, Renommé, and explore the collection of wine labels at Gallery Vinoteka.
  3. Rediscover yourself at the luxury Gallery SPA, designed by Italian architect Gianluigi Landoni. With beautiful mosaic tiles and Italian natural stone, this is spa heaven where you can enjoy a massage, aromatherapy, facials, wraps and exfoliation with French Carita and Thalgo products.

WHAT ELSE

to see and do

The hotel is well-situated between the Old Town and the Art Nouveau area with many international embassies, and a harmonious ensemble of buildings, boulevards and parks located nearby. This district of the city was built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when Riga experienced rapid growth, making it one of the largest and most diverse collections of Jugendstil architecture in the world.Just a few minutes walk from the hotel, you can experience the cosy Old Town, which dates back to the 12th century or the unique architecture of the Art Nouveau district. Both areas are designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

HOW TO

get here

The hotel's location is great, not only because it is close to the main attractions, but also because it is situated on the road that leads to the airport which minimises the chances of getting caught in a traffic jam. Easy access to and from the airport (just a short 20-minute drive) allows you to enjoy your stay until the last moment with no worries.

There are many ways to get to the hotel from the airport, but the best way is to book one of the luxurious airport transfers offered by the Gallery Park Hotel: the Mercedes S Class Viano chauffeur-driven car from the hotel’s own fleet is a top notch, first class way to begin your journey, and the stylish vintage car chauffeur service is a really prestigious and memorable way to start your stay in Riga.
